How to Recieve Division Text Messages

The Medicine Hat Catholic Board of Education uses SchoolMessenger to communicate important information with families via phone, email, or SMS (text message) throughout the school year. If you have a child currently registered in our school division and would like to be eligible to receive text messages from your school or from the MHCBE, you will need to opt-in.

You can opt-in to receive text messages by following these two steps:

  1. Speak with your school to make sure that they have your mobile phone number on file. If you have more than one child attending a CBE school, confirm that your mobile phone number is on file for each student
  2. From your mobile phone, use your SMS (text message) application to send the word YES or Y to the six-digit short-code number 978338

Note that some messages may be sent only by phone or email, and not available by SMS.

Text message frequency may vary. MHCBE does not charge you for receiving SMS messages. Standard message and data rates may apply from your carrier when you receive messages from us.

How to opt-out:

After you have opted in, you may opt-out at any time by sending the word STOP to the six-digit number 978338. You can get more information by sending the word HELP to the six-digit number 978338.
